17 proposals get Cabinet nod

Bhubaneswar: The State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday approved at least 17 proposals, including increase the scope of KALIA Scheme to include 10 lakh additional small, marginal, landless farmers and sharecroppers.

The Cabinet approved the change of cash transfers dates to the farmers under the second phase of the KALIA scheme. Now, farmers will get assistance on April 1 for Kharif Season and on September 1 for Rabi season. Earlier, it was decided to give financial assistance to farmers under the scheme (second phase) on Akshaya Tirtiya and Nuakhai.

The other proposals included new Dynamic Assured Career Progression for Government doctors which will enables doctors three assured promotions after 7, 14 and 21 years of continuous service from their entry-level and simplification of disbursement of compensation policy to victims in man-animal conflicts. Now, the kin of the victims will get assistance within 15 days.
