Bhubaneswar: The family members of the three labourers from Odisha, who were found dead in an agricultural well near a private spinning mill at Reddiyapatti in Tamil Nadu on the night of March 9, alleged that the trio have been murdered.
The three were labourers identified as Ghana Malick of Jhalpada and Baithinath Dalai Haldibasanta in Jajpur district, respectively and Sanatan Munda Patakilipur village under Telkoi in Keonjhar district.
They were all working in a spinning mill.
According to reports, squabble erupted between some local labourers and the workers from Odisha over an issue on March 6.
In the meantime, the three ran for life from the spot. While running, the three, who were critically injured in the brawl slipped into the well and fell into the well.
“They slipped into the well or the other workers killed them and threw their dead bodies in the well, is yet to be known,” said a relative of one of the labourers.
Later, on March 9 locals noticed foul smell emanating from the well and informed the police. Fire personnel and police rushed the spot and recovered the bodies of the three from the well.
