Balasore: Days after being attacked by the BJD workers in Aul of Kendrapara, former MP and Utkal Bharat president Khavela Swain allegedly again faced ire of ruling party supporters while he was discussing with some of his party supporters in a meeting at Khaira in Balsore district.
Alleging attack by the BJD workers, Swain was earlier represented Balasore in Lok Sabha, lodged a complaint before Superintendent of Police (SP).
The SP has assured to take action against the law breakers as per law, Swain said.
“Dungura panchayat samiti member Prakash Lenka and his supporters Manoranjan Kuanr and others opposed their meeting, snatched the microphones and forced them to leave the place. Sensing any untoward incident, we stopped the meeting mid-way,” Swain added.
Earlier on October 24, Swain was allegedly attacked by some BJD workers while addressing a rally named ‘Odisha Bhagya Parivartan Yatra’ in Aul of Kendrapara.
He was attacked when he was talking against BJD and CM Naveen Patnaik.
