Bhubaneswar: The Asian School of Business Management will soon become a university as Odisha Cabinet today approved a proposal in this regard.
The Cabinet chaired by CM Naveen Patnaik today also approved proposal to amend Secretariat Data Entry Operators Cadre rules for recruitment.
Giving nod to proposals of 16 other department, The Cabinet decided to set up a Handlooms and Handicrafts Development and Promotion Council in the State. The Odisha Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Rules 2017 also got nod of the State Cabinet.
The Cabinet also approved a proposal for two rural piped drinking water projects under BASUDHA scheme for Khurda and Dhenkanal districts. As many as 2,82,951 people of 390 villages in three blocks in these two districts will be benefitted. The project will be completed within two years.
It was also decided in the Cabinet meeting that the government’s land provided for setting up of Affordable Health Care Project would be given sub-lease.
The Cabinet also approved a proposal Odisha handicraft policy 2019 for the development of handicraft.
