Bhubaneswar: Congress president Rahul Gandhi will hold his public meeting in Bhubaneswar on January 25. The venue has not yet been finalised, but Baramunda or Tamando ground are two options, informed PCC president Niranjan Patnaik.
Rahul will spend the whole day in State and will meet members of civil society, party workers and intellectuals, Patnaik added.
His visit assumed political significane as BJP has intensified back-to-back programmes featuring Prime Minister Modi ahead of the 2019 election. Odisha is preparing for twin elections to the state assembly and the Lok Sabha later this year.
The prime minister, who visited the state on December 24 and January 5, is scheduled to attend another public meeting at Bolangir next week.
BJD has also intensified its preparedness for the polls by rolling out welfare schemes.
Rahul is expected to launch scaathing attack on BJP and BJD.
