Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly today witnessed uproarious scene after BJP MLAs created ruckus in the well of the House protesting CM Naveen Patnaik’s Delhi our for ‘self promotion’ in the name of capital investment.
Due to heavy pandemonium, Speaker Pradeep Amat had to adjourn the Assembly till 11.30 am.
The BJP legislators stormed into the well of the Assembly as soon as the House assembled for the day and shouted slogan against chief minister Naveen Patnaik, alleging that the State government is busy signing MoUs with companies, but failed to provide them adequate infrastructure. As a result, the companies are forced to pull out their project from the State, BJP members said.
The uproar was created at a time when School and Mass Education minister was responding to the adjournment motion moved by Congress party over teachers’ issues.
Notably, CM Naveen Patnaik left for Delhi to meet investors ahead of Make In Odisha Conclave.
