BJP to waive off crop loans in Odisha after coming to power: Dharmendra Pradhan

Bhadrak: The BJP today announced to waive off the farmers loan in Odisha if it comes to power in 2019 election.

Addressing a gathering at Basudevpur in Bhadrak district, Pradhan said “We will waive off farmers’ loans when we come to power in Odisha.”

On the sidelines of party’s ‘Mishran Parv’ in Basudevpur of Bhadrak, where former Congress leader Madhabananda Mallick along with other local leaders joined BJP, the Union Minister dubbed Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and his government officials as chit fund heroes.

“Chit Fund heroes are running the government in Odisha. We need to change this government in 2019,” he added.

He said Congress party has lost its existence in Odisha. An inactive, inefficient and weak government is functioning in State. The health care is in shambles. People are yet to get the uninterrupted electricity supply. The situation of youth mass is getting worse, he alleged.

Terming the Ayushman Yojana as the biggest health care scheme of India, he lambasted Odisha government for rejecting such pro-people scheme.

On September 22, PM Narendra Modi had requested CM Naveen Patnaik to accept the Ayushman Bharat for the interest of people. Today I also once again requested him to accept the scheme,” Pradhan said.

Accusing the Health department of giving false data over its own health care scheme, the Union Minister said the Odisha government, through advertisement, informed that 1 crore people have already received the health care benefit in two months under Biju Swasthya Yojana, which is a false data of a true advertisement.

The Ujjwala yojana is a success in Odisha. Only 20 lakh LPG connections were done in 2014 while the Modi government has enhanced it to 73 lakh in four and a half years, Pradhan said.
