Bhubaneswar: A day after the Crime Branch took gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito on a five-day remand, the CB Task Force and Kendrapara police have started conducting raids at his house at Dilarpur and his relatives house in the village this morning.
Notably, the gangster had sustained bullet injuries on his left leg in a police encounter near Chandikhole on June 30. On Wednesday, police took Tito into custody after he was discharged from the SCB Medical College and Hospital and produced him before the Kendrapara Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM).
Though the CB had appealed for a 10-day remand, the SDJM Court allowed it to take Tito on a five-day remand.
After interrogation, the CB and police have conducted raids to find out more clues about Tito’s crime network, according to reports.
