CM inaugurates 35 model police stations in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday inaugurated 35 model police stations, including the newly-built Airport Model Police Station near the Biju Patnaik International Airport here.

The Chief Minister also flagged off 12 PCR mobiles meant for increased police mobility and patrolling in Bhubaneswar for the ensuing World Cup Hockey and thereafter, for prompt and better response to the people in need.

He also flagged off 35 new Boleros and 70 new motorcycles meant for 35 Model Police Stations.  The additional vehicles provided to the Model Police Stations will improve mobility and efficiency.

The Chief Minister first inaugurated the Airport police station near the airport and launched 35 model police stations through video conferencing at the State Secretariat.

Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan, DGP Dr RP Sharma, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissioner of Police Satyajit Mohanty attended the programme.
