Congress to sell Pakoda in Cuttack to protest Modi’s visit

Cuttack: The State Congress has decided to open ‘Pakoda’ counter in Cuttack to protest Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on May 26.

Pakoda selling counters will be opened at Badambadi and Buxi Bazar in the city as a mark of protest in a reply to his recent statement of Pakoda selling to address unemployment problem.

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that selling Pakodas too was a form of employment.

The Congress alleged that Modi has betrayed the people of Odisha. He should reply people’s query on his promise to give 4 lakh employment in IOCL, party leaders said.

Similarly, the party will stage a dharna in front of all petrol stations in the city tomorrow and request people not to fill petrol in their vehicle as a mark of protest to price hike of petrol and diesel.

The protest will be followed by a motorcycle rally which will culminate at Khan Nagar crematorium ground where the Congress members will set afire the effigy of the Prime Minister.
