Dharmendra Pradhan calls CM Naveen a ‘liar’

Bhubaneswar: Lashing out at chief minister Naveen Patnaik over in ordinate delay in refunding money of chit fund depositors, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today questioned CM’s silence despite several questions being pointed at him over the mega scam.

In a series of tweets, Pradhan stated that people’s hard earned money has been looted at the behest of ruling party ministers, MPs and MLAs. He also wanted to know the link between Naveen Patnaik and his employee Saroj Sahoo over the matter.

“The hard earned money of Odia people has been looted under the patronage of Ministers, MP, MLAs and leaders of the ruling #BJD. CM Sh. @Naveen_Odisha has been lying to the duped investors repeatedly”, Pradhan tweeted.

“What is the link between CM Sh @Naveen_Odisha and Saroj Sahoo?  Why CM is silent, despite several questions being pointed at him in the #ChitFundScam,” Prdhan stated further.

Terming the CM as a liar for failing to refund the money of the gullible investors, Pradhan asked the ruling party members to refrain from being reactive when a liar is called a liar.

“Why the ruling party members are being so reactive if CM Sh.@Naveen_Odisha is termed a liar? Allegations of CM duping honest Odia’s have been proven! Why will people not call a liar, a ‘Liar’?”, He asked.

The Petroleum minister further said that the government extended the tenure of chit fund inquiry commission only to delay the process of refund of money.

“In the wake of extending the tenure of the Justice MM Das Commission by 6 months, attempts are being made to deliberately delay the refund process and delaying justice to the duped investors proving the  age-old saying that, ‘Justice delayed is justice denied,” he added.

Naveen has been promising since 2013 to refund money to the people. He created a corpus fund of Rs 300 crore for the purpose. But, his commitment was only to hoodwink people, Pradhan alleged.
