Din continues in Odisha Assembly; Speaker calls all-party meet

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly continues to witness din for the second consecutive day as the Opposition Congress and BJP today created ruckus in the House forcing Speaker to adjourn it till 11.30 and later 3 pm .

Soon after the House reassembled for the day, BJP and Congress members stormed into the well and shouted slogan demanding discussion on Mahanadi issue by cancelling question hour. Unable to run the proceedings, Speaker adjourned it till 11.30 am.

Similar situation prevails after 11.30 following which the House was adjourned till 3 pm.

Speaker Pradip Amat called an all party meeting to bring back normalcy. The meeting will decide whether discussion will be held on a special motion over Mahanadi issues.

Yesterday, ruling BJD MLAs had created pandemonium in the House leading disruption of Assembly proceedings.
