Fake currency notes seized from train at Bhubaneswar station

Bhubaneswar: A team of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) today seized huge stash of fake currency notes from Kamakhya-Yeshvantpur Express at Bhubaneswar railway station.

Over Rs 3 lakh fake notes which include 150 Rs 2000 denomination notes were seized while being smuggled to Bengaluru. The notes came from Bangladesh, sources said.

A man has been detained and is being interrogated. He is residing on India-Bangladesh border.

The fake currencies had also been seized earlier from Balasore, Sambalpur, Bolangir.
