Bhubaneswar: Within 24 hours since the suspension of Nimapara police IIC for allegedly assaulting an elderly woman, another instance of police atrocity came to fore in Capital city. Meanwhile, DGP RP Sharma said the allegations of assault on the girls will be investigated. Then after, necessary action will be taken, he added.
Sources said the girls’ family had an altercation with another family over a land dispute. The matter landed in police station following which police summoned the girls and their family members. Police also reached the spot for investigation where the girls and family members obstructed the cops in the probe and allegedly attacked the investigating officials, police said.
Later, the girls were arrested and forwarded to court. They recently were released on bail after which the photos of them with injuries went viral.
