Kendrapara: Vigilance sleuths today raided the house of a reserve police havildar in Kendrapara district on charges of disproportionate assets case.
The havildar, identified as Trailakyanath Jena had allegedly amassed properties disproportionate to his known source of income. Acting on a complaint, a team of vigilance officials raided his parental house at Bania and in-laws house at Barailo village.
A house worth Rs 60 lakh, seven bank accounts of different banks, gold ornaments and documents of some landed properties have been traced during the raid. These are being verified, said Surendranath Raiguru, vigilance DSP, Kendrapara.
Notably, Trailokyanath worked in police department for 23 years.
