Bhubaneswar : Odia Hurdler Pragyan Prasanti Sahu made a successful international debut by winning silver medal in 100meter hurdle event in 3rd South Asian Junior Athletics Championships at Colombo in Sri Lanka on Saturday.
She clocked 14.98 seconds to win the medal while another Indian hurdler Sapna kumara bagged gold by clocking 14.19seconds.
In the inaugural day, Indian athletes grabbed at least 11 gold, 10 silver and three bronze medals.
Notably, Pragyan, a resident of Balasore had grabbed many medals in State as well as in national level. She had won gold medal in U-20 girl’s 200m event of the 65th Odisha State Athletics Championship in 2017 held in Cuttack.
