Logjam continues in Odisha Assembly

Bhubaneswar: The State Assembly continues to witness logjam every during question hour as the members of ruling and Opposition bench are indulged in creating noise over separate issues every day. The Congress and BJP today stalled the question hour by creating uproar.

As soon as the House assembled for the day, the Congress MLAs stormed into the House and created noise after Speaker rejected the adjournment motion moved by the Opposition party over law and order situation in State. They requested the Speaker to accept the motion and allow the House to discuss on it.

Responding to the rejection of motion, Congress MLA Debendra Sharma said that Speaker seems to be partial under the pressure of ruling party.

Similarly, BJP members, wearing black gown, rushed into the well with a separate issue. They alleged that government spend crore of rupees in the name of Biju Yuva Bahini which has no work for the public in the State. They alleged BJD is indulged in self-promotion with the government money. They demanded audit of the expenditure of the Biju Yuva Bahini by the CAG.

Unable to run the House, Speaker adjourned it till 11.30 am.

BJD which remained silent during question hour is expected to raise Baijayant chopper issue during Zero Hour.
