Bhubaneswar: The BJP on Sunday described the ‘United India’ rally organised by TMC supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee a gathering of people involved in corruptions and said the Mahagathbandhan lacks policy, intent and leadership and exuded confidence of forming the next government not only in the country but also in Odisha.
Speaking at a press conference at the party office here, party national general secretary Bhupender Yadav said that people have seen the performance of the Narendra Modi Government and the BJP will form the next government with full majority not in the country and in Odisha too.
He also ruled out any pre and post election alliance with the ruling BJD in Odisha.
On Saturday Banerjee organised ‘United India’ rally against the Narendra Modi Government in Kolkata, which was attended by leaders of nearly 20 opposition parties. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, NCP president Sharad Pawar, TDP leader, Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy and BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha attended the anti-Modi event.
“People in grassroots level are not getting benefits of the Centrally-sponsored schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The State Government here has utterly failed to provide basic services to people,” alleged yadav.
“BJP’s prime focus is good governance. Poor people in Odisha are being deprived of getting benefits of the Centrally-sponsored programmes. We are sure we will fight the election to throw out Government and hope people of Odisha will support us in this effort,” asserted Yadav.
Yadav also highlighted the performance of the Narendra Modi Government and Centre’s contribution to Odisha under the Modi’s regime so far.
