Bhubaneswar: Several companies in abroad have shown interest to invest in six industrial sectors in Odisha like Steel, food processing, tourism and textiles, said Industries Minister Ananta Das, who just returned after successfully completing road show in abroad ahead of ‘Make In Odisha’ Conclave-2018.
Das who accompanied a team of officials to three nations- China, Japan and South Korea, said 150 industries representatives took part in the road show in China and South Korea. 150 industries also came up with the Odisha road show in Japan, out of which 20 industries made one-to-one discussion with the team, he added.
The team held road show in three Asian countries from August 25 to September 1, 2018 and held discussion with several companies and prospective investors.
Earlier, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had held a road show in Mumbai on August 8. Business leaders drawn from 300 companies had participated in the Mumbai event to explore investment opportunities in Odisha. The Chief Minister invited them to participate in the Make in Odisha conclave scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar from November 11-15.
The inaugural edition of Make in Odisha drew investment intents valued worth Rs 2.03 trillion.
