Maoist posters protest police action in Niyamgiri

Kalyansinghpur: Maoists today put up posters on a temple wall protesting police action in Niyamgiri area in Rayagada district.

Four posters issued in the name of Bansadhara-Ghumsar-Nagabali division of the outlawed outfit were found pasted on the wall of Shiva temple in Kalyasinghgpur.

The posters have mentioned that State and Centre have conspired to hand over Niyamgiri hills to Vedanta company by suppressing the voice of the tribals. The government is trying to suppress the people’s movement in Niyamgiri area.

In a bid to divide the people and foil the movement, Police diverted some youths by providing mobile phones and some cash to work as informer.

Despite police action, the tribal movement will not stop, they said through posters.
