Maoists release audio tape, threaten to take revenge of Dudukamal encounter

Bhubaneswar: The Maoists today threatened the security forces to take revenge of the killings of two rebels in police encounter at Dududkamal in Bolangir district.

In an audio tape released by the naxal leader Basant, it is alleged that police forces are torturing the innocent tribals. Revenge will be taken against the forces for killing two naxal cadres namely divisional committee members Sanjeeb and area committee member Rakesh, it said.

Notably, the two Maoist leaders were killed in encounter by security forces at Dudukamal forest under Belpada police station in Bolangir on May 12.

Sanjeeb and Rakesh were carrying a cash reward of Rs 5 and Rs 4 lakh respectively. An AK 47 rifle and an INSAS rifle were seized from them. Both were heading the Bolangir platoon of BBM division of the outlawed organisation.
