Cuttack: The evaluation of Matric answer-sheet, which began on March 20, has concluded, Board of secondary Education president Jahanara Begum informed.
The result is likely to be published in May after thorough scrutiny of the answer-sheets. A notification in this regard will be issued soon, she added.
According to reports, 13,200 teachers were engaged for the evaluation of answer-sheets of about six lakh students at 57 centres across the State. Matric, Madhyama and Open School answer-sheets were evaluated simultaneously this year.
Uncertainty looms large over smooth evaluation as the teachers had threatened to boycott the evaluation process protesting government’s policy to submit affidavit to avail grant-in-aid facilities. Consequently, state government had made an appeal to the teachers to cooperate with the evaluation process with an assurance to fulfil their demand. Later, they had joined the duty.
The matriculation examination, which had begun on February 23, concluded on March 8.
Around 6, 08,031 students had appeared the annual HSC exam at 2,818 centres across the State.Similalry, around 14,000 students in State Open School and around 4,ooo students in Madhyama had appeared the test this year.
