Bhubaneswar: The annual matriculation examination concluded amid question paper leak controversies on Thursday. The exam began on February 23.
The results of the tests will be announced in May, informed School and Mass Education Minister Badrinarayan Patra today.
The evaluation of answer sheets will begin from March 20 and will continue for 12 days.
As many as 13,280 teachers will evaluate the answer sheets in 57 evaluation centres across the State.
The examination conducted by Board of Secondary examination (BSE) was attended by a total of 6,08,031 candidates at 2,818 centres across the State on the last day of the test.
Like the MIL, English, Mathematics and Science question papers went viral in social media earlier, of leakage of question papers of Social Science were reported in Kamakhyanagar and Jagatsinghpur area.
Photographs of Social Science question paper were circulated on WhatsApp within one hour of the commencement of the exam today morning.
Excluding the Sanskrit examination, questions papers of all the subjects got circulated on social media.
Patra, however, again refuted the allegations of another question paper leak and called it an a rumour to disrupt the examination process.
“The question papers are surfacing after the examination started, so we cannot call it a leak. Students should stay calm and write the examination,” said the Minister.
