Matric Hindi question paper goes viral; BSE refutes report

Bolangir: The question paper of Hindi language allegedly went viral on social media again. The report came from Saintala area in Bolangir district though the authenticity of the report has not yet been verified.

The District Education officer denied the report of viral. He said some miscreants made previous paper viral to mislead students and guardians and to defame the education department. No question went viral on whatsapp today, he added.

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) also rubbished the allegation. Board secretary said the report has authenticity. Examination is going on smoothly.

The Odia question paper had gone viral from Koraput, Nuapada and Dhenkanal districts following which superintendents and invigilators of the centres from where the question came out were suspended and later arrested.

The report of English question paper going viral was also aired on some tv channel one day ago. But, later the BSE denied the report. However, allegation of massive malpractice came from various schools following which the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha today decided to cancel the English subject examination of February 25 in three centres.

English paper exam at Ghunsar Govt High School in Bolangir, Palaspitha PR High School in Dhenkanal and Gopinathpur Krupasindhu Nodal High School in Cuttack districts have been scrapped, BSE President Jahan Ara Begum had informed yesterday.
