Milk trader shot dead in Gajapati, 1 hurt

Paralakhemundi: In a shocking incident, a group of biked borne miscreants shot one Radhakrushna Kalinga dead and left another critical in K Sitapur village under Kashinagara police limits in Gajapati district last night.

The critically injured has been identified as Anand Rao.

Kalinga is a milk trader. The incident took place when he was on a visit to Rao’s shop located in the village to collect payment. Attackers came on a bike and opened fire at both the victims who were busy in talks in front of the shop, and fled away.

The victim duo sustained critical injury in the firing and were rushed to the Paralakhemundi DHH. Kalinga was referred to the MKCG Medical in Berhampur later but he died before shifting.

The Kashinagara Police have reached the hospital and started investigation into the incident.
