Bolangir: Continuing his attack on BJD on the last day of his two-day Odisha tour, BJP national president Amit Shah today termed Naveen Patnaik-led government in Odisha as a ‘burnt transformer’.
“The government should function like a transformer. But, the State has burnt one. What can be done with a burnt transformer?”, Shah said sarcastically.
Reiterating his appeal to the youth mass of the State to uproot the regional party, Shah said that various media organisations had yesterday reported about BJP’s Mission 120. But, here it is clearly seen that number will increase, he said.
He further alleged that Naveen Patnaik-led government is shielding the criminals in State.
“The murderer of the BJP youth worker is roaming freely. They will be exposed once our party forms government here. A complete inefficient government is functioning in the State which has made the youth frustrated,” Shah said while addressing a convention of around 50,000 youths from across the State at Koshal Kalamandal in Bolangir.
He called upon the youth of Odisha to come with BJP to make a better Odisha.
Prime Minister Modi has sanctioned 1.32 lakh crore and 116 welfare schemes in four years. But the government here has utterly failed to reach the people with these benefits, he maintained.
The top leader of the saffron party also came down heavily on State government as it fails to provide safe drinking water to its people and forced them to consume poisonous fluoride water.
The BJP will give special focus on western Odisha if it comes to power, he pointed out.
He said people were “disappointed” with the BJD government on several fronts, especially corruption and scams. Without removing the corrupt government, Odisha’s progress is not possible, he added.
