Bhubaneswar: Putting a full stop in the ongoing debate of BJD coming closer to BJP following its support to NDA candidate for the post of Rajya Sabha deputy chairman, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today said that there is question of BJP forming government in Odisha by forging an alliance with BJD.
He said BJP, being a single largest party in the country, has enough strength to contest election alone in 2019 in Odisha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will fulfil all the expectations of the people of Odisha.
While extending gratitude to the members who voted in favour of the NDA nominee Harivansh Narayan Singh in the Rajya Sabha today, Pradhan said it is constitutional post, which should be selected with consensus. Due to stiff protest of opposition parties, no consensus had emerged for a common candidate.
Opposition Congress in Odisha alleged that BJP is the B-team of BJD in State and it was exposed today after the regional party openly supported NDA candidate Harivansh Singh.
