Bhubaneswar: Famous bhajan singer Arabinda Muduli passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here on the wee hours of Thursday. He was 56.
According to reports, Muduli complained of uneasiness yesterday night after coming from a marriage party.
“He asked me to take him to a hospital for minor treatment. His heart beat was fluctuating therefore the doctor referred him to a hospital,” said Krupasindhu, Muduli’s son.
“As we were taking him to hospital, he suffered cardiac arrest on the stretched and collapsed”, added Krupasindhu.
Meanwhile, Muduli’s body has been kept at his residence here at Bhimatangi. Later, his mortal remains will be taken to his native village Khanati in Khurda district from his residence here at
His last rites will be performed at Swargadwar in Puri, sources said.
Born on September 1, 1961, Muduli was a lyricist, singer and music composer. He has sung a number of Jagannath bhajans.
