New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: After IOCL recommended CBI probe into petrol pump allotment to gangster Tito, the BJD today dragged Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan into the matter and demanded CBI probe into all allotments in the State during last four years.
At a press meet in Delhi, party MP and spokesperson Pratap Deb said when Crime Branch is probing the crime network of the gangster, why CBI was asked to investigate?
“Why this one only, all the allotments during last four years should come under CBI scanner. Was the minister unaware about the irregularities even as the IOCL admitted its mistake?” he asked.
He should not drag the State to a crime network like Bihar and step down on moral ground, Pratap Deb demanded.
On the other hand, BJP spokesperson Pitambar Acharya termed BJD’s press meet as an outcome of fear. BJD is panicked over its link with criminals after CBI was recommended to investigate allotment of filling station to gangster Tito.
