Bhubaneswar: Hours before the scheduled meeting between Telangana chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and BJD chief and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, political parties in Odisha have engaged in mudslinging.
The Congress said that both TRS and BJD are the ‘B’ team of BJP. “Both the parties are involved in mega chit fund scam. Both are under CBI scanner. They are now planning to make deal with BJP to get rid of the scam,” AICC general secretary Ramachandra Khuntia said.
Countering the top Congress leader, BJP leader and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said people are aware of everything. Who is whose walking stick in State? Who compromises with their rivals for own business interest? Who are involved in mining scam and who sacrificed Odisha’s honour for the sake of own interest? People of the State know everything,” Pradhan said.
BJD , on the other hand, refuted the speculation of any discussion between the two leaders on a federal front. “KCR’s visit is a courtesy call. There is no political agenda involved in their meeting. BJD is doing anti-BJP and anti-Congress politics,” BJD spokesperson Sameer Dash said.
Meanwhile, KCR arrived in Bhubaneswar with his family from Vishakhapatnam through a special aircraft. He is scheduled to meet his Odisha counterparts in the evening. KCR and his family members will visit Puri tomorrow to offer prayers to Lord Jagannath before flying to Kolakata in the afternoon.
