Ratna Bhandar key missing: Sankaracharya demands probe, Jagannath Sena stages protest at Singhadwar

Puri: Demanding resignation of Law minister Pratap Jena and strict action against some former officials of sri Jagannath Temple.

Administration (SJTA), Jagannath Sena and Sachetan Nagarika Manch today staged demonstration infront of Srimandir Singhadwar today in connectiong with the missing of Ratna Bhandar key.

The Sena activists demanded immediate resignation of Law minister as the Srimandir administration is coming under the jurisdiction of Law department. The Jagannath Sena warned that it willmove to High Court if its demands are not met.

The protesters questioned that why the government was mum when a sensitive incident has taken place which is directly attached to the spiritual sentiment of lakhs of Jagannath devotees.

Meanwhile, Puri Sankaracharya Nischalananda Saraswati expressed displeasure over key missing issue and demanded a detailed inquiry into the matter.

The missing of key came to fore after a report was produced in the meeting of temple management. The report mentioned that one of three keys of the inner room of the Shrine’s treasury is missing.

For that reason, the inner room was not opened for inspection of its structural stability in April.

On the other hand, the SJTA sought permission of temple management to beak the lock of the Ratna Bhandar.
