Cuttack: The authorities of Ravenshaw University closed the institution for indefinite period on Wednesday following student unrest. The students are asked to vacate the hostels by 10 AM.
The varsity authorities took such decision as discussion with the protesting students failed remained inconclusive.
The vice chancellor Ishan Patro said that the decision was taken to avoid any untoward incident on the campus.
Meanwhile, students warned that they would continue their protest till the decision to hike the fee is revoked.
Notably, students under the banner of Ravenshaw Chhatra Kriyanusthan have been protesting the varsity authority to revoke fee hike and roll back of the increased fee and withdrawal of the notice for vacating the hostel by May 28.
