Shah terms BJD-Congress as two sides of same coin

Cuttack: Launching a scathing attack on both Congress and BJD at a rally of party workers in Salipur of Cuttack, BJP National president Amit Shah today appealed to the people of Odisha to give only an opportunity of five years to BJP for the all round development of Odisha, which has still ‘remained backward’ after long years of ruling of Congress and BJD.

Terming Congress and BJD as two sides of same coin, Shah said that only BJP can make Odisha no 1 in the State.  “Congress and BJD are two sides of the same coin. If either comes into power, there is no way poverty will be eradicated from Odisha, they will not lead the State towards development. You give 10 years to Congress and 19 years to BJD, but give only five years to BJP, we would make the State number one under the leadership of Modi ,” said Amit Shah ion Odisha.

Coming down on Odisha government for turning blind eye to the development of tribal, Shah alleged that District mineral fund which was created by the prime minister, are being spent for the tribal welfare. These funds are going to the pockets of industrialists, Shah added.

Modi has already sanctioned Rs 5.13 lakh crore to Odisha. But the benefit of such a large amount could not reach people of the State as the government is a complete inefficient.

“In four and a half years, BJP government provided 50 crore people with health facilities, 8 crore people with toilets, and has helped over 2.5 crore people to construct their houses,” Shah maintained.

“PM Modi wants to make new India, new Odisha. He wants Odisha to be clean and disease-free,” he further pointed out.

Congress ruled India for decades but poor did not even get basic amenities such as gas connections, medical benefits and electricity. But in five years of Modi-government, people are getting all these facilities. While in Odisha the poor is unable to benefit from schemes of Central government due to the narrow mindset of State Government, the top BJP leader alleged.

Praising Modi’s decision on national security, he raised the surgical strike of the Indian jawan to avenge the killing of Indian soldier.

“When Pakistan attacked our soldiers in Uri, within 10 days PM Modi took action and ordered surgical strike into Pakistan so as to avenge the death of out martyred soldiers. It is only Modi governemnt that can take such stringent action, Congress government cannot do” said Shah.

The BJP top brass also ridiculed the attempt of some other parties to make Mahagatbandhan. Shah said such alliance has policy, no rules and no leadership.
