Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha today announced some new trains for Odisha and some other welfare projects at an event in Bhubaneswar.
He informed that Gondwana Express has been extended up to Sambalpur. A new train will be introduced which will connect Sambalpur to Shalimar via Talcher. It will ply three days a week, Sinha added
Besides, the minister also announced new stoppages of some trains. Bhubaneswar -New Delhi Rajdhani express will have a stoppage at Dhenkanal station which was a long standing demand of the people of Dhenkanal.
Similarly, Howarda- Prashanti express will halt at Balasore station. Haldia-Madras express will also halt at Balasore.
Howarda-Kanyakumari Express and Purulia-Bhilupuram Express will have new stoppage at Bhadrak and Jaleswar respectively, the minister said.
Puri-Paradip Express will halt at Kanas, Howarda-Puri Express at Markona and Nilachal Express running between Puri and New Delhi will have a stoppage at Dhanmandal station.
These apart, Keonjhar-Bhubaneswar and Barbil-Puri Express will halt at Dhanmandal and Kanas station respectively.
