Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today extended the tenure of commission of inquiry constituted to probe into Kunduli gang-rape and suicide case.
The tenure which was scheduled to end on June 25 has been extended by three months more. The government has extended the tenure for the second time. Earlier, the panel’s tenure was extended in March for the first time as probe was not over in the stipulated time period.
The Judicial panel was constituted by the State government last year on December 26. The gang-rape and subsequent suicide of the minor girl of Kunduli in Koraput district has created much hue and cry across the nation.
