Berhampur: Even as the state government claimed to have achieved zero casualty, six persons including four of a family went missing after a house swept away in a swollen river in the after math of cyclone Titli at Bhutapankala village near Bhanjanagar here in Ganjam district.
Several rivers in the district were swollen following incessant rains triggered by the cyclonic storm. A house where four family members and two others took shelter during the deluge was swept away after Adangi River started swelling due to intermittent rain. All of them went missing.
The district administration launched operation to trace them since 12 noon. As the last report came in, they all remained untraced, Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said.
