Tito’s remand extended by four days

Kendrapara: The Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court today extended remand period of gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito by four days.

The Crime Branch prayed the court to take the gangster on more 10-day remand. However, the court granted only four days.

The Special Task Force of Crime Branch today produced the gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito in the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court after his five-day remand ended today.

The Crime Branch is claimed to have acquired important information regarding his crime network during interrogation in the remand period.

Tito was arrested following an encounter near Chandikhol in Jajpur on June 30. He was admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

The court had allowed the STF to take him on five-day remand. After his arrest, police raided several business establishments of the criminal in around Kendrapara. His house ‘Kobra Manjil’ was also raided by the Crime Branch team.
