State BJP President Manmohan Samal has strongly condemned the horrific incident of a minor girl being set on fire by miscreants in Balanga, Puri district. The 15-year-old girl was on her way to a friend's house when she was allegedly kidnapped by three motorcycle-borne youths, taken to a deserted spot near the Bhargavi River, and set ablaze.

The girl was intercepted by three youths, forcibly taken to a secluded area, and set on fire using an inflammable substance.
Locals rushed to her aid, doused the flames, and shifted her to Pipili government hospital, later referring her to AIIMS Bhubaneswar due to the severity of her injuries.
The victim has sustained 70% burn injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
Manmohan Samal assured that the government will take serious action against the perpetrators, ensuring exemplary punishment.
The state government will bear all medical expenses for the victim's treatment, as announced by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida.
Police have launched an investigation, scanning CCTV footage and questioning suspects, with two teams formed to track down the culprits.
Leaders from various parties, including BJP and BJD, have condemned the incident, demanding swift action against the accused.
A delegation from the Biju Janata Dal and Congress visited AIIMS Bhubaneswar to meet the victim's family and doctors, wishing her a speedy recovery.
