The Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) has revealed a shocking motive behind the murder of garage owner Rabindra Nayak near Pandarasinha Chack in Nayagarh district. Investigation shows Rabindra was killed because he helped his elder brother elope with the main accused's wife.
According to the police, Rabindra's elder brother had a past relationship with a woman who later married the main accused, Dilip Kumar Minister. However, a few months ago, the elder brother ran away and remarried Dilip’s wife, triggering a missing person complaint at the Khandapada police station. Because Rabindra actively aided the elopement, a bitter rivalry ensued, culminating in yesterday's fatal attack.
While Rabindra was at his garage shop, three assailants arrived in a car and shot him dead. Police have seized the vehicle and the firearm used in the crime. Meanwhile, demanding justice and the immediate arrest of all conspirators, Rabindra's grieving family members staged a road blockade. Manhunt operations are currently underway to nab the remaining suspects.
