Odisha is set to host ‘Subhadra Shakti Samabesha’ across all gram panchayats from June 21 to 30. Ahead of the launch, Deputy Chief Minister and Mission Shakti Minister Pravati Parida chaired a virtual review meeting at Mission Shakti Bhawan to ensure seamless grassroots preparations.
The initiative aims to boost financial independence among women, especially Self-Help Group (SHG) members, by raising awareness about government schemes, financial institutions, skill development, and market linkages. A key focus is driving the creation of ‘Lakhpati Didis’ and ‘Mahalakhpati Didis’ in the state.
Following the review, Parida interacted with over 300 Community Support Staff (CSS) from 30 districts, praising them as the true pillars of Mission Shakti's success. "Odisha has achieved a prime spot in the country due to your efficient work," she noted, reassuring them of government support.
This mega campaign is poised to drive a new wave of self-reliance and economic strength for the state's women.
