Bhubaneswar: Coming down heavily on the BJD-led government in Odisha, BJP general secretary in-charge of Odisha Arun Singh today ridiculed the government as good for nothing.
“It is a lollipop government in Odisha. It has been distributing lollipops to the youths of the State for last 19 years. BJD chief and chief minister Naveen Patnaik has utterly failed to create employment for the educated youths,” Singh said at a presser.
Reacting to the State’s own food security act, Singh said 34 lakh people have spent times in empty stomach in last 19 years, which is a great failure of the Naveen Patnaik government. There is a smell of corruption in Aama Gaan, Aama Vikash programme in which tender is being awarded without the knowledge of people’s representatives, Singh added.
He further alleged that representatives are barred from the welfare activities. Democracy has been strangulated. People are deprived of basic amenities, Singh lambasted.
Odisha has remained far behind the States governed by the BJP, he added.
On the other hand, BJP organisation in State has grown up ten times. The party is vibrant in social media, he asserted.
The BJP will soon launch a ‘Poll Khol Abhiyan’ against the BJD leaders and minister who are involved in corruption.
