‘Paree Pain Katha Tiye’ from tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The 14-day long awareness programme of Odisha police on Child sexual abuse ‘Paree Pain Katha Tiye’ will be launched tomorrow. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will flag up the ‘Paree Express’ which will move in all districts to create awareness among people.

15 specially designed Paree Express vans will travel across Odisha and culminate at Bhubaneswar on 12th June for valedictory function. The key aim of the campaign is to spread awareness among communities, families, and parents. The campaign will be led by SP and Collector of their respective districts, DGP RP Sharma said at a press meet.

All the vans have been equipped with LCD screen. During every halt, Paree Express will meet people and hold cultural events on awareness.

Odisha police in association with UNICEF has taken such initiative. Police officials have been trained to conduct the awareness campaign in district level.

The campaign will be supervised by DGP RP Sharma while IG Asit Panigrahi was appointed as the nodal officer to coordinate and monitor the campaign.
