Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha will announce the results of Plus II Science examinations on May 19. The results will announce at the Council office at 11 am, official sources said.
However, Arts and Commerce results are likely to be declared by the first week of June, sources added. The students who had appeared for the examination can check the marks through the official website — www.chseodisha.nic.in and www.orissaresults.nic.in.
About 3.80 lakh students from 1,504 colleges in Science, Arts, Commerce and Vocational education streams appeared for the test this year. The examination was held from March 6 to 29 at 1,106 centres across the state. The practical examination was conducted from January 25 to February 5.
This year, the board increased the number of seats from 1,007 to 1,110 for plus two exam centres, due to the increase in the number of students.
Late publication of results was apprehended this year due to teachers’ strike that affected the evaluation process initially. However, they joined the scrutiny process later after assurance from the government over their demands.
