Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi joined the annual Deba Snana Purnima celebrations at the Shrimandir in Puri, offering prayers and seeking blessings for the welfare of the world. He also prayed for the smooth conduct of the upcoming Rath Yatra.


Rituals and Significance

The Deba Snana Purnima ritual involves the bathing of Mahaprabhu in 108 pots of fragrant water, followed by the Hati Besha, where the deities are adorned in elephant attire. The ritual started at 4:30 am, with devotees taking the Chaturdha bigraha from Ratnavedi to Snanavadi in a procession.


Security Arrangements

Extensive security measures have been put in place to manage the large crowd of devotees. A total of 70 platoons of police have been deployed to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all.


Lakhs of devotees gathered in Puri for the Deba Snana Purnima celebrations, showcasing their devotion and enthusiasm for Mahaprabhu's bathing ritual. The event is a testament to the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Odisha.
