A devastating road accident occurred near Charbahal village under Koksara police station in Kalahandi district, Odisha. A passenger bus collided with a stationary truck on National Highway 26 in the early hours of Thursday, resulting in one fatality and five critical injuries.
According to the reports, The private bus, Raghunath, was traveling from Bhubaneswar to Umerkote when it rammed into a truck parked on the roadside near Charbahal.
One passenger died, and at least five others were critically injured, including the bus driver and helper. The injured were rushed to Junagarh Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.
Local residents and fire personnel assisted in rescuing the injured, while officials from the Moter police outpost launched an investigation into the incident.
Reportedly, the exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined, with authorities investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. The injured passengers are reported to be in critical condition, with their status being closely monitored by medical authorities.
