Bhubaneswar: Unfazed by the revolt of his rival groups seeking his ouster from the BJD, senior party leader and former minister Damodar Rout today stirred hornets’ nest once again in the party with his explosive statement that three MLAs-Debasish Samantray, Arun Sahoo and Pranab Prakash Das- led by an officer is functioning the party.
Rout’s statement, which created a flutter in party circle, comes in response to the media query over his arch rival in the party Bishnu Das and Balikuda- Ersama MLA Prashant Muduli’ move to dismiss him from the BJD.
“I was removed as a minister without my knowledge. I was also dismissed from the post of party vice-president and a district observer. What else in my hand that they will oust me?, he asked.
He further blasted at the bureaucrat and three MLAs saying “I am not in a party which is fully operated by an officer and three MLAs-Debasish Samantray, Arun Sahoo and Pranab Das.”
Earlier in the morning a number of supporters of MLA Prashant Muduli from Ersama area accompanied by the MLA and Bishnu Das, who is Jagatsinghpur district president of BJD, met chief minister Naveen Patnaik with a written complaint seeking Rout’s dismissal from the party.
Das and Muduli had also met the party president yesterday and submitted complaint against the former minister.
