Odisha govt has no permanent scheme: Yogi Adityanath

Bhawanipatna: BJP’s firebrand leader and Uttar Pradesh chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today lashed out at BJD-led State government and Congress party while praising Narendra Modi-led central government for its massive pro-people schemes.

Addressing a rally of BJP workers of five parliamentary constituencies in Bhawanipatna, Yogi said Odisha government has no permanent scheme. Any government scheme here is suppressed in corruption before it came to the people.

Praising Centre’s PM Kishan Nidhi Yojana, he said that farmers’ economic life would be improved with the central assistance. The farmers across the country will get Rs 2000 thrice in a year. The fund will be directly credited to their bank accounts opened under PM Jan Dhan Yojana.

In four years, Narendra Modi has shown how the government should function. The BJP government is dedicated fully for the development of downtrodden, poor and common mass. The PM has empowered youths under Mudra Yojana. Modi has targeted to ensure pucca houses for all by 2022.

Coming down heavily on the State government for failing to implement proper housing scheme, Yogi said that his government has constructed 20 lakh pucca houses and 2.60 lakh toilets in two years in UP while Odisha is able to build only 17 lakh in 19 years.

Lauding the efforts of Petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Yogi said 12 crore families have got LPG connection between 2014 and 2018 due to the efforts of Pradhan. The gas pipeline project has been expedited in Odisha due to the hard work of Pradhan, Yogi said.

Exposing the fact behind Re 1 rice scheme in Odisha, the heavyweight saffron leader said the Centre is providing Rs 29 while State spends Re 1 for the scheme.

The Centre has launched the Ayushman Bharat under which 50 crore people have been benefitted.

Modi is committed to make New India by 2022 in which there would be no place of poverty, corruption, violence, cultural and social discrimination, he added.

Appreciating the works of party workers during panchayat election, Yogi called upon the workers to repeat the panchayat election results in general poll. He said Modi should become the Prime Minister again in Centre and BJP should come to power in Odisha so that the development will move in a fast pace, Yogi maintained.

In his address, the UP chief minister also paid tributes to the martyrs of Pulwama. He said the Pakistani terrorists are afraid of the Indian army after it warned of strict action if they try to play tricks with the security if India, he added.

Later in the day, Yogi also addressed another rally of party workers in Khurdha where he intensified his voice against State government. He came down heavily on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and his government for being insensitive towards the freedom fighter.

He said the Centre is well prepared to build a memorial in the memory of Paika Rebellion on its 200th anniversary, but State government is reluctant to hand over required land for the project, he alleged.
