Veteran cine star Debu Bosh passes away

Bhubaneswar: Veteran Odia cine star Debu Bosh passed away today at a private hospital in Hyderabad following pro-longed illness. He was 76.

He had been under treatment for the last four months. He was on ventilator support for last few days. Earlier, he had survived heart attack twice.

Born on December 2, 1942, Bosh had started journey in Ollywood from film ‘Tapasya’ in 1980. He had shown his fine artistic skill in Kaberi, Gangasiuli, Chakabhaunri,, Sahari Bagha, Suna Chadhei,, Pua Mora Kala Thakura.

He has carved in niche in the cine industry by his charismatic performance especially in father character.

He has occupied a special place in the heart of film fans in most of his films. He has acted over hundreds of movies including some hindi films.

‘Rasta’, which was released in 2014, was the last movie in cinema carrier.

Apart from film, he has also acted in many Odia serials and theatres besides being the director in many of them.
