The Mohan Charan Majhi Government In Odisha has taken a crucial step and shut the 'Nua O' programme, introduced by the earlier BJD government.
Instead, the BJP government has started framing a new scheme to benefit UG and PG students. The new programme will be implemented in current academic session.
"We are preparing guidelines for a new scheme for UG and PG students. It will be implemented from the current academic session," said Higher Education Minister Suryabansi Suraj.
Further the Minister said the State government would give financial support to students who are deprived of pursuing higher studies due to lack of money.
