Online ticket sales for the upcoming India-South Africa T20 match at Barabati Stadium on December 9 saw overwhelming demand, with the designated 2,000 tickets selling out within minutes of the website opening yesterday at 2 PM.
The swift sale, covering galleries 2, 4, 7, and some premium sections, has disappointed many cricket fans.
Of the stadium's total capacity of around 42,000, 11,000 tickets are allocated for purchase by OCA-affiliated units (district associations, clubs, schools) on December 3rd and 4th.
The public will get their chance when the counter sale begins at the stadium on December 5th, where 10,000 tickets will be made available. Fans are now anxiously awaiting the commencement of the physical ticket sales.
